Three Reading is a sculpture and video installation in which three actors perform a series of dramatic readings. An inexperienced extra is taught by an acting coach to pantomime combat drills. Inter-cut with the drills, the two men speak of personal and theoretical ideas related to migration and suburban development. The third actor reads a story about the hysterics of a vision mediated by cameras. The story intermittently recalls Louis-Jacques Daguerre’s early photography demonstrations in Paris and a fiction sexual tryst in which the actor's genitals become a camera.
