Working interchangeably between Photography, Video, Sculpture and Installation, Kelley is critically engaged with the subject of performance. Kelley’s work makes use of a range of structures that comprise performance: language, identity, narrative, theater, light, site, the unconscious and the photographic document. His work has been shown in galleries, museums, theaters and publications throughout the world. Most recently his video Flotsam Jetsam was played in the Museum of Modern Art’s 2008 New Directors New Films Festival in New York, and won the Golden Pyramid at the Cairo IMFAY Media Arts Festival. His video installation Three Reading was shown in August 2008 at Dobaebacsa contemporary art space in Seoul Korea. |
